禽流感讓消費者對家禽肉品、蛋品產生疑慮，行政院農委會3日下午則舉行「國產禽肉、安心享用」記者會，邀行政院長林全、立法院長蘇嘉全等人品嚐燻雞、鹹水雞、烤鴨等，實際行動為國產禽品掛保證。林全致詞時也強調「大家真的不用擔心」，禽流感防疫目前為止做得非常不錯，禁宰禁運政策後也沒案例發生，且目前屠宰都經過檢驗把關，煮熟後更是沒問題，希望大家盡量支持國內產品，並對政府、業界努力給予肯定。

林全致詞表示，禽流感是政府很大的挑戰，去年11月前後發現日韓有新病毒，行政院就開始內部準備，並在院會中提醒大家將防疫工作做好；今年1月份發現問題時，盡快啟動中央應變中心，並鼓起勇氣做了有風險，但後來看起來算是成本較低又有效的方法，這要感謝業界提供很多想法，讓推動的過程中避免掉很多傷害與問題，像是為將主動通報做得更好，補償機制由6成提高到8成，這看起來是有效的。

林全接著提到，「禁運禁宰」政策在分寸拿捏上有困難，當時行政院與學者下定決心，目標就是希望新的病毒不要留在台灣，「希望這次能做好一點，對以後影響會少，也許不是100%不發生，但至少要能做到本土性機率非常低」，同時藉此將過去的清一清；這目前看起來算是有效，非常感謝背後努力的同仁及專家學者、業界。

他也提醒，大家不要過於高興，風暴還沒脫離，還有一個月左右時間；過了3月底後也許機率會變少，整個防衛機制、補償等則會到5月份，希望這次能讓國人感受到政府的努力、進步。

林全還笑說，也許大家覺得官員沒必要在這邊吃雞肉給大家看，但既然社會大眾有疑慮，「吃給大家看也無仿」，而這真的不用擔心，這次禽流感防疫做得非常不錯，H5N6在禁運後也沒案例發生，加上屠宰出來都有一定檢驗把關，煮熟後更是沒問題，「這麼多把關，大家不用擔心，希望大家盡量能支持國內農產品，也對政府與業界努力給予肯定。」

農委會則強調，目前市面上販售的合格屠宰禽肉，都是經由政府派駐的屠檢獸醫師逐隻檢查，確認健康並貼上「屠旅社賓館檢合格標章」，絕對是健康、安全的優質肉品，民眾可以安心選購食用。
